Volunteers, Entertainment Needed for Diamond Bar Birthday Celebration

The annual party will be held April 14 at Pantera Park.

This April, the city of Diamond Bar will celebrate its 23rd year of incorporation with an annual party featuring entertainment, games, rides, food, a business showcase, and a car show.

The fun will last from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 14 at Pantera Park. Admission is free, and there are several opportunities for residents to get involved.

Non-profits in Diamond Bar can participate in the event by operating a food, craft, or game booth. There is a $100 fee that covers the cost of supplies and rentals (supplies for craft booths, games and prizes for a game booth), as well as tables, chairs, and a canopy. Food booth operators keep all earnings, while game and craft booths split proceeds between the city and participating organizations.

Local high school students can also participate and earn community service hours. Organizers need help with set up, clean up, and operation from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. This opportunity is only open to Diamond Bar and Diamond Ranch High School students.

The talent stage is open to Diamond Bar residents of all ages who are prepared with a pre-rehearsed group or solo performance under 30 minutes.

Applications for non-profits, entertainment, and volunteering are all due back to the city by 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 2.

For more information and to download registration forms, visit the city’s website. For general event information, call 909-839-7070. For car show information, call 909-839-7072.
