Both Diamond Ranch and Diamond Bar High School boys soccer teams won in Division 4 CIF first round play Thursday.

Diamond Ranch defeated St. Genevieve 2 - 1, with goals by Andy Rodriguez (assisted by Ishmael Dimas) and Johnny Garcia (assisted by Andres Gallegos). The team will play El Rancho Tuesday, the location yet to be determined.

Diamond Bar High also won 2 - 1, against the Whittier Cardinals. Goals were made by Will Lee (assisted by Kase Volledregt) and Ryan Espinosa. They will play Crescenta Valley Tuesday, the location yet to be determined.

The Diamond Bar High School girls soccer team will play Arroyo Grande at home this afternoon at 3 p.m.
