The Citibank at 1188 S. Diamond Bar Blvd. is now open for business.
It was one of three Citibank locations to open on Monday; the other new branches are in Irvine and Long Beach. The company plans on opening more in the state in 2012 and 2013.
"We are thrilled to make it easier for our Southern California customers to bank with us and proud to enhance our ability to serve this crucial market," said Rebecca Macieira-Kaufmann, president of Citibank California. "Citibank is committed to meeting the needs of consumers and businesses in Southern California and beyond, and through additional branches we can help even more customers reach their goals and dreams.”
The new branch features envelope-free ATMs, and will service retail, small business, commercial banking, wealth management, and mortgage customers. Citibank will provide 24-hour banking with lobby ATMs, and will have teller and account opening services as well.
The Diamond Bar branch will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

It seems almost all the former Blockbuster buildings are becoming bank branches. The former Blockbusters in Walnut and Colton became Chase Bank branches.

We have more than 8 banks on the corner of Diamond Bar Blvd. and Grand Av. I’m starting to call the corner Wall Street.
